Can you have Strep and the Flu at the same time?

According to the nurse practitioner at CVS Minute Clinic- you can and poor Avery has them both. They did the flu swab thing when we went yesterday afternoon and said he had the flu. They also did a quick strep test which was negative. The NP then did another one to send to the lab overnight and they just called 30 minutes ago to say it was positive for strep. Poor guy. Here's my little man resting. I know he feels really bad because he said he didn't feel well enough to play Wii with his brother.
